Very enlightening book, many deem paganism as evil but when studying the etymology of the word it just meant villager or farmer. And many of these farmers learned nature to cultivate their civilization neither was religion afforded to them because religion was for the rich folk. But even going further in history the teachings of the Kemetic faith provided a foundation for the main three religions. I love things like this, it makes you humble to know that what you believe in isn't original.
Genesis 1:11-16 contradicts astrophysics. Luke 3:23-38 and Matthew 1:2-17 contradict Australopithecus afarensis and Neanderthals. Lilith was Adam’s first wife, not Eve. Lilith (Genesis 1:27, Isaiah 34:13-14, Dead Sea scrolls 4Q510-511, Zohar, Sirach) was created at the same time as Adam, not later from Adam’s rib, like Eve (Genesis 2:19-22).Among the advocates of the non-historicity of Jesus, John M. I recommend reading "The Jesus Mysteries", you get more bang for your buck. The author includes some dodgy sources when showing how different revered figures like Jesus have similar history.
Kinda challenges your safe space. Do you really believe blindly when you learn that previous civilizations had the same messianic story in their tradition thousands of years before Christ? I'm like Fox Mulder, I want to believe, but reading this made me hear that "Twilight Zone" music and begin questioning everything I've been taught. Was it all just a big fairy tale told over and over thousands of years earlier?
